Network Monitoring & District Metering
Qonnecits iStaq loggers connected at major network points collecting 15-minute data provide a highly effective network monitoring solution. iStaq loggers programmed with alarm thresholds will alert when consumption or flow are out of bounds. This provides instant information on major events in the water network as well as high value data for network improvements, pipe replacement, leakage monitoring and network expansion.
Combining 4 channels, high 15-minute or better resolution, SMS messaging and 10-year battery life, iStaq loggers are at the forefront of water network management technology.
The data is available from the myMeter web services site or can be linked directly into water infrastructure and management software from third parties.
Leakage control
iStaq loggers can automatically monitor for for persistent leakage or pipe bursts. This
can be achieved by using the standard meter-connected iStaq-LG data logger or by using the iStag-ALG logger for meter and pressure sensor communications. Threashold, night flow and zero flow alerts can be sent directly to users via SMS or email, meaning water companies can quickly react to leakage events.
The robust iStaq logger with 10-year battery life provides a long term installation without the need for regular site visits. The graph below of the chart shows the capture and resolution of a major pipe burst, resulting in savings of over £150,000.
AMR & Smart Metering of End Customers
The Qonnectis-AMR meter communications device allows for simple, cost-effectively meter register reads for billing on a weekly or monthly basis extremely costs effectively. For more sophisticated “smart metering” applications with end customers, the iStaq-LG can provide 15-minute read frequencies with daily remote communications. Combined with myMeter services giving end customers web access, these solutions enable water utilities to provide clear online meter reading and billing, cash flow improvements, and also empower water companies to offer their key customers added-value services such as water management, leakage repair services and meter right-sizing.
Level & Environmental Monitoring
The iStaq-AL can monitor all types of environmental measurements, including river level monitoring, rainfall, water quality, air quality, etc. All data is made available using easy-to-understand web interfaces and can be easily downloaded into spreadsheets or third party software tools.
Designed for long term operation in harsh environments, the iStaq-AL environmental monitoring logger can provide remote sensor data from even the most distant sites.
